It's very rare for me to impulsively make a costume while the source is still relevant, but as soon as I saw Maizuru onscreen I needed to make her. I had a bolt of white kimono fabric in my stash that was perfect; of course me being me, I had to overcomplicate it by hand couching the feather details. I then also impulsively made the mask 2 days before a con, just to see if I could finish it in time. Bonus: she's comfy!
