Ayumi Hamasaki - "I am..." outfit

Yes, it's the requisite fanservice costume! Well, actually I also thought the idea was neat (being covered with leaves and all), and I have the album at home and I like Ayumi, so why not? It was pretty easy, although the bra wasn't cheap, nor were the leaves ($14 Canadian per vine!).
Needless to say, this costume was popular. I had a few people recognize me, but lots more were just "Wow, great costume! What's it from?" so I was glad I'd brought my Ayumi CD with me to show people. It was very nice not having to wear a wig for once, but the leaves did horribly tangly things to my hair.
Bikini: A strapless flesh-coloured bra and thong panties to which I sewed leaves. Since they stretch, and I needed to be able to tell how and where the leaves would cover me, I had to sew the leaves while the bikini was on me. The front wasn't so bad, but sewing leaves to your own butt is rather difficult, let me tell you. ^_^; I got a fake dove at Michael's and kept it on my shoulder with a bit of double-sided tape (Amazingly, that was the only thing kept on my with double-sided tape that year!).
Legs: I wore my white Babbit boots, around each of which I wrapped a metre of imitation suede and tied it all with some leather lacing.
